The Butterfield Farm Company, established in 2009,
with operations in Suffield, Connecticut and New Braintree, Massachusetts, is a family owned company focused on the production
of caprine products. Owners, Michael and Tara, personally create the beautiful and delicious goods that come from the milk
produced by their herd of over 100 nubian and saanen goats. The farm's products are sold regionally and the farm is committed
to supporting the local economy and community in all its endeavors.
Products of the farm include several varieties of fresh goats’ milk cheeses, pro-biotic
yogurts, as well as semi-hard and hard aged cheeses including Meadow Zew, a natural-rind tomme developed in the
tradition of the Basque region and Selebration, a colonial-style hand-milled cheddar. In addition to edible items,
the farm also creates a full line of bath and body products all containing goats’ milk.
